Who Are We?

The Jumbulance Trust makes accessible travel possible. We are a non-profit offering group hire and organising trips across the UK and Europe using our custom-built Jumbulance coaches.

Each coach is designed for comfort and accessibility, with space for up to 6 wheelchairs or stretchers, lift access, wide interiors, accessible toilets, and on-board kitchens. Our experienced drivers ensure every journey runs smoothly.

We exist to make a difference in the world of travel. With decades of experience, we’re driven by compassion, community, and a commitment to providing meaningful experiences.

The Role

Community Connectors help raise awareness of Jumbulance in their local area by distributing leaflets to community spaces, health centres and other public places. This flexible, low‑pressure role supports our mission by reaching people who may benefit from our trips or want to get involved as volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Jumbulance leaflets in your local area at times that suit you
  • Identify suitable outlets for leaflet displays (e.g., community boards, health centres, local shops, faith groups)
  • Keep a simple log of where leaflets have been placed
  • Replenish leaflet stocks when needed
  • Share local information with the Jumbulance team (e.g. community events, groups or venues that may be interested)
  • Connect with local groups and charities that support people with specific disabilities (e.g., Muscular Dystrophy, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal injuries, neurological conditions) and share Jumbulance information where appropriate and pass on any leads to the Jumbulance Team for further contact.
  • Represent Jumbulance positively as a friendly local ambassador

Optional: Attend local community events, fairs or information days on behalf of Jumbulance (if you feel confident and comfortable doing so).

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, reliable and comfortable engaging with your community.

What skills do I need?

  • Friendly, reliable and comfortable engaging with your community
  • Able to walk around your local area
  • Happy working independently
  • Enthusiastic about helping people access opportunities
  • No previous experience required
