Please bear in mind that coronavirus restrictions mean some organisations are not currently able to operate as they did pre-covid. While a volunteering role profile may be listed as available on this website it is possible that the opportunity may have had to be temporarily suspended. Things are a little more challenging just now so please also allow a little more time to hear back from them. Thank you.

Adult volunteers can chose to help and lead activities for our Cub Pack – either as an Occasional Helper, a Section Assistant, Section Assistant Leader or Section Leader (there are LOTS of options!).

Then as part of the Leader team, plan and deliver an exciting, interesting and balanced programme to the boys and girls that gives them the opportunity to have fun and learn new skills while taking part in many different types of activities. These may include lots of adventures, challenges, trips, visits, visitors and possibly even the occasional weekend camp.

Providing ‘everyday adventure’ is what we do!

Volunteering looks great on your CV and a recent impact report told us that 80% of external organisations said that Scouting has benefited their organisation.

Volunteering is both fun and rewarding, allowing you to feel empowered and giving you a sense of pride. Scouting aims to have a real and positive impact on the lives of our young people, our volunteers and our local community.

Adults volunteers must be aged 18 or older. Young people aged 14 to 18 can still help us by volunteering as a Young Leader.

What skills do I need?

No Experience is required. Just a lot of enthusiasm, energy, good creative activity ideas and willingness to try anything is all that is required!!!.
