Who Are We?

We are a non-profit woodworking workshop for women and diverse gender people. We want to dismantle the inaccessible nature of building and create an empowering space to learn and explore the fundamentals of woodwork, carpentry, DIY, building and construction. We offer radically affordable pay-what-you-can workshops, supported sessions with marginalised people, and free community building days. We have a wellbeing garden space where we grow vegetables for shared lunches.

The Role

Help us expand our reach and keep our community up to date through Instagram, Facebook and our website. Social media and digital marketing (inc. SEO), graphic design, and/or web development (one or all of these things depending on your interests).

Extremely flexible involvement, depending on your availability. Volunteer from your home or come to our workshop space (shared lunch provided).

Some training will be provided to the best of our abilities but we're not experts. Ideally you would have some relevant skills already.

Please note that this volunteering opportunity is only available for people who identify as a woman and/or marginalised gender. This is to make the workshop a ‘safe space’ for those who have experienced trauma.

What skills do I need?

Some experience of the following is preferable.:

  • Creating social media content
  • Graphic design
  • Website design

However, this could be a great opportunity to develop your digital skills!
