For Family Support Work
Volunteers are needed to support a new Wednesday afternoon initiative in Pulborough.
volunteers may be required to participate in setting up gazebo, making hot / cold drinks and helping to facilitate the peer support group.
Based at the park by St Marys School.
This is a joint venture with Pulborough wardens and the Purple Bus, and Family Support Work (FSW) will hopefully have a gazebo and will be set up next to the Pulborough Wardens and their Talking Tent, for teens and the Sussex Club\'s \'Purple Bus\'.
FSW will be encouraging families to participate in group discussion and peer support, whilst the youngsters are occupied with activities.
We require individuals to support conversations with parents, and provide helpful and understanding advice in an non-judgemental way.
We will also require helpers for the 'fair share' table and also getting setting up first thing, putting up gazebo etc, making drinks and clearing away at the end of the session.
We are also looking for some active individuals who may be able to organise activities such as rounder’s or football type activities, whilst parents are engaging with group peer support.
