Who Are We?

The British Regional Transport Association  - or BRTA - are an enthusiastic pro-rail organisation, working towards better public transport for the English regions. It's a voluntary membership based, pro-public transport improvement association, which is involved in campaigning, advocacy, line re-openings, and nurturing congenial agreement and resolution, bringing people together through this common cause.

The Role 

The BRTA is looking for a Fundraiser whose duties include the following:

• To Liaise with Volunteer Bureaux to explore relevant outlets and apply.
• Apply for grants (including Lottery) via Internet searches.
• Explore Crowdfunding and applications to us (e.g. each study starts at £30,000 and we need them for new and re-opened railways and stations).
• Take and assist gathering stock and doing stalls and other sales with our publicity.
• Talk to people and recruiting new members and volunteers.
• Identify other 'bona fide' fund-raising methods.
• To organise fund raising events(e.g. sponsored walks) to draw in people and support and raise funds for BRTA.
• To research fund raising and creatively and lawfully raise funds for BRTA on-line and other wise.
• You will report to the Executive Committee of BRTA for liaison.
• Try and motivate the membership of ERTA more and to participate in events generally.
