For Friends of Horsham Park
The Friends of Horsham Park aim to protect, enhance and promote Horsham Park for the better enjoyment of residents, visitors and future generations. We also aim to make this much loved green space an area in which birds, wildlife and trees flourish. We support the Charter for Parks.
Friends of Horsham Park is a Community Interest Company.
Overall to help us raise funds to support our operations as a Community Interest Company and for our projects to enhance and promote Horsham Park.
Liaising with the Committee:
- maintain and enhance our Horsham District lottery web page and encourage participation in the lottery
- identify and apply for grants for our projects
- plan fund raising activities in line with our aims (we aim to make many of our events free so that they are inclusive)
If you would like to join our monthly committee meetings, you would be welcome. However, this is not a requirement as liaison can be via the Chair and Finance Director. sub-committee.
Passion for the importance of Parks as a place for social inclusion, recreation, relaxation and connecting with nature. Good communication skills as you will need to liaise and enthuse.
Confidence with IT so that you can learn how to use the Horsham Disctrict Community Lottery page.
Experience of applying for grants is ideal, but not necessary as we can share the experience we have gained so far and HDC's Voluntary Sector Support can provide guidance.
