Who Are We?

We are a non-profit woodworking workshop for women and diverse gender people. We want to dismantle the inaccessible nature of building and create an empowering space to learn and explore the fundamentals of woodwork, carpentry, DIY, building and construction. We offer radically affordable pay-what-you-can workshops, supported sessions with marginalised people, and free community building days. We have a wellbeing garden space where we grow vegetables for shared lunches.

The Role

Help us create a garden that provides healthy food for lunches, fresh herbs for teas, and flowers for the workshop, as well as being a beautiful green space with a focus on wellbeing and connection with nature.

Please note that this volunteering opportunity is only available for people who identify as a woman and/or marginalised gender. This is to make the workshop a ‘safe space’ for those who have experienced trauma.

Tasks include:

  • Planting
  • Weeding
  • Watering
  • Building garden structures

You could have lots of creative freedom over how we develop the garden space and what we grow. We manage the garden based on nature-friendly, organic, regenerative principles. Shared lunches and refreshments are provided.

If you're interested, make an enquiry through the website.

What skills do I need?

No experience necessary - learn along the way with regenerative forest gardening techniques!
