Maintenance Volunteer

Who Are We?

We are a registered charity and our main focus is on removing barriers and transforming lives for children, young people and their families.

We offer two main services:

• An inclusive stay and play centre based in Horsham, West Sussex for all families with children to explore, play, and have fun (stay and play).
• Activities for children and young people with disabilities aged 0 - 25 years. Sessions run in the evenings, weekends, and every school holiday. We operate out of many locations including Horsham, Crawley, Worthing and Sutton (Short Breaks).

The Role:

We are looking for someone who could support our centre team with DIY and maintenance and keep the centre looking neat and tidy all year round. This could be inside the building - assembling toys, putting up pictures, odd jobs. Or it could be outside, clearing gutters, building planters or general maintenance.

There is a lot of opportunity to make a huge difference for us at the centre.

What skills do I need?

A keen interest in supporting the community, work independently with guidance from the centre team and to take initiative. The ideal candidate would have an understanding of carpentry, building and maintenance work, but this is not essential. All you really need is enthusiasm!
