Our vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. We raise money to research cures and treatments, so we can beat heartbreak forever. Our events help us raise vital funds for that research by encouraging supporters to run, swim, hike or cycle. In 2019 over 30,000 supporters took part in events raising over £10 million.

Every year across the UK our events team host a number of our own BHF organised events and also encourage supporters to take part in large third-party sporting events. We recruit up to 1,000 volunteers per year to help deliver our events.

Event Volunteers play a vital part in activating and energising the BHF events portfolio. Event volunteering is open to people from all walks of life and can be an exciting and rewarding experience. Whether you are looking to meet new people or want to develop new skills and get some events experience or you are passionate about the BHF and looking for a different way to Beat Heartbreak Forever, we are here to point you in the right direction.

Get involved as over 2,500 BHF supporters take part in an exhilarating challenge along varied terrain at one of Europe\\\'s biggest charity mountain bike events on Saturday 4th September. In doing so, you’ll be helping our participants accomplish something incredible as they fundraise to support BHF research and the lives of those living with heart and circulatory diseases.

What skills do I need?

No prior event experience needed, just an ability to arrive with a smile, get stuck in and support our participants who are taking part in our event. Tasks at the checkpoint will include:

- Assisting with build and de-rig of one of two checkpoints - Provide water and refreshments to participants in a Covid-safe manner, ensuring to replenish supplies - Support with participant flow through the checkpoints, directing them to toilets, mechanics and medical points - Maintain a clean site - Answer any questions that the participants might have.
