Who Are We? 

Horsham Area Community Car Scheme transport elderly people to clubs, societies, doctors, hospitals, hairdressers, shopping and more!

The Role: 

We are looking for volunteers to support the office staff with administrative tasks such as insurance, compliance and publicity. Committee members to help with advice and local knowledge would also be useful. The office staff are the point of contact for clients of the Scheme. Dealing with enquiries and transport bookings via the telephone and in person then logging all the bookings and communicating them to drivers. Computer experience would be helpful but not essential but most communication is electronic. 

While the office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 11.30am, we are looking for volunteers to support these services outside office hours and also for both regular shifts and holiday/sickness cover if possible.

Training will be provided.  A DBS check will be required due to access to clients details and this is free of charge as a volunteer.

What skills do I need?

• We are looking for support outside the office (volunteering remotely) as well as one morning in the office using computer skills and a good telephone manner with the ability to problem-solve and multi-task sometimes in a busy, time sensitive environment.
