Who Are We?

Our main role is to agree the strategic priorities and resource allocation for all NHS organisations in Sussex. This involves leading the improvement and integration of high-quality health and care services for all communities.

The Role

Strategic Community Ambassadors carry out office-based work during (generally) normal working hours. They work directly with NHS Sussex staff, giving them advice and support on matters which affect the NHS across Sussex, and helping to make decisions about health and care services.

Ambassadors work as an equal member of the group alongside clinical staff and managers from all parts of the health and care system

Availability Details

There is no minimum requirement of hours or commitment, all time given is appreciated. Each project will demand different levels level of commitment and reliability which will be discussed with the Community Ambassador. For example, a project could meet monthly for two hours for a six month period or be a much shorter or more flexible event.
