For Tanbridge Residents Improve the Arun River (TRITAR)
An informal group of volunteers who wish to enhance and maintain the Arun river and its banks between the Worthing Road and the Blackbridge Lane river bridges, and the Road/Rail twin bridges and St. Mary's Church, for the benefit of local residents and users of the Riverside Walk.
1.Keeping the river clear of objects which prevent the clear passage of water and present possible sources of pollution.
2. Removing unsightly litter, rubbish and dead foliage from within the river and the banks of the river.
3. Enhance the beauty of the riverbank and reduce erosion by the strategic planting of foliage and flowers.
4. Working in conjunction with the relevant landowners , conservation and environmental groups and government agencies to improve conservation and biodiversity in the area.
Able to work in the river. Tools and waders provided.
Able to get to the river: The Arun river and its banks between the Worthing Road and the Blackbridge Lane river bridges, and the Road/Rail twin bridges and St. Mary's Church.
