We are a very successful, yet relatively young, social enterprise group based in Sussex. Our innovative, award winning, positive activity work focuses on an area of disability and chronic illness that is not well known - one which affects all ages and consists of hypermobility and SEDS syndromes.

Here at SEDS we are looking for a dynamic, individual to join our team of trustees. Someone who has previous experience within the voluntary / community / charitable / social enterprise sector, ideally at Board level to join our committee of trustees.  

You will need to be able to champion and work, consistently and methodically, in an area that is not well known, to enable this exciting, innovative health group, expand its reach, work and influence.  This is an exciting opportunity to help steer an award winning social enterprise to achieve even greater things, and given the right skills may offer the potential to project manage some specific initiatives too.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone who...

  • has previous experience within the voluntary / community / charity/social enterprise sector, ideally at Board level 
  • is able to work consistently and methodically in an area that of health and disability that is not well known.  
  • is able to work on own initiative but support the Chair who leads this group. 
  • has the ability to forge relationships as well as contact members with anxiety 
  • can use of microsoft office   
  • brings network contacts and is happy to draw on those connections to champion our cause.

Ideally you will also have...

  • some experience of using social media eg: facebook, twitter, instagram, as SEDS works mainly on social media,.
  • project management experience and impact reporting knowledge.

Availability Details

Flexibility in trustee role. Must be experienced in role. Looking for administration or legal background.Suitable for home working and possible meetings face to face with fellow board members.
