For The Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve
Who Are We?
The Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve is a registered charity working to promote and protect Warnham Local Nature Reserve for the benefit of the varied wildlife, and as an important and valued community open-space.
The charity has a board of trustees which runs the organisation in conjunction with a number of dedicated volunteers, some of whom support the trustee board and attend committee meetings.
The Role
The Friends are seeking to recruit two more trustees. Working with Horsham District Council, we have exciting plans which will significantly add to visitor experience and numbers over the next few years. A more diverse board with broad experience will help to make this happen.
The main responsibilities of the role are to:-
4 meetings each year and sub-project meetings as/if required, plus occasional events.
Trustee meetings are held on the evening of the third Wednesday of each quarter (January, April, July and October).
The board is keen to recruit additional trustees who have with good reasoning and communication skills, with a can-do attitude and who are committed to making a difference. Any experience in one or more of the following areas would be helpful, but is not essential:
