This is an administration role. Based in your own home with the SNN mobile phone.
You will be one of a team of Volunteer Coordinators (VC) who take calls from a service user requesting a service. You will ensure you have all the information necessary to understand the task being asked, identify a volunteer to carry out the request and then phone the service user telling them who will be assisting them and the time at which the volunteer will come to them.
This information needs to be recorded in the VC books.
The VC's take it in turns to do this role, currently a VC has the books for two weeks at a time. When they are not doing VC work they can offer, as a volunteer, to do transport, social visits.
Ability to work to the team guidelines in respect of record keeping.
Good, neat and tidy record keeping.
Pleasant and understanding telephone manner.

When you are in the VC role you are required to pick up the messages on the phone and react to them 2-3 times a day Monday - Friday.
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
