Who Are We?

We’re a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, we’re there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle.

We also pioneer standards in end of life care through collaboration, research and training, reaching even more people facing death and bereavement.

The Role

Our e-Commerce team are responsible for an Aladdin's cave of unique, antique and collectable items. Being more specialist, and hopefully higher value, all items need researching, listing, packing and labelling to make sure we're always getting the highest price possible. Training can be provided on all aspects of the role, so as long as you have an interest in research and are happy to learn. This is a fantastic, varied role which helps to raise vital funds for our expert care, so you'll know you're making a direct difference to the care we provide.

What you will be doing:

  • Sorting and processing donated good - including cleaning, preparing and photographing items for sale
  • Assisting with any research for specialist items, for example vintage, retro, electrical and designer items.
  • Creating and managing listings of items for sale on our e-Commerce channels – eBay, ETSY and DEPOP.
  • Respond to queries and sales
  • Ensuring the e-Commerce area is always kept clean and tidy

What skills do I need?

  • Good IT skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team
  • E-bay experience as a buyer or seller would be helpful, but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Commitment to undertake any training required for the role including a mixture of face-to-face training and e-learning as required for the role
