Who Are We?

Ten Little Toes was born out of love, set up by a family who know only too well how hard it can be to get by with a house full of small children. With their own four children now teens and young adults, they turned their attention to helping their local community and began running Ten Little Toes out of their home. Now a team of three trustees and a small pool of volunteers, the baby bank is still taking over their house, but with dreams of a permanent home. No matter where we work from, Ten Little Toes is always full of love for those we work with.

The demand for our services is constant and ever-growing, and we see more and more what a lifeline our donations can be for families - those facing financial hardship, temporary homelessness, relationship breakdown, domestic violence, health issues - and the emotional hardship associated with all of these things. Often we are called upon to provide emergency relief to families who are displaced for any of the above reasons, and we respond as quickly as we can. We are constantly amazed at the response from the local community, who never let us down. When we ask, you provide. We are proud to be in a local community who care about their neighbours - and those they don’t know, too.

The Role:

As a Volunteer Events Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting Ten Little Toes in organising and executing successful fundraising and awareness events. Reporting to the Fundraising and Sponsorships manager, you will also work closely with the Operations Team to plan and execute events that align with the charity's mission and goals.

This is a volunteer position, and we welcome anyone with a passion for event planning and a desire to make a difference.

We are flexible with hours but will need someone who can be available to support our team at ad-hoc events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and execute fundraising and awareness events as well as identify opportunities for Ten Little Toes at other community events such as Summer Fetes and networking groups.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop event themes, concepts, and timelines that align with the charity's mission and goals.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including aligning with community event calendar, venue selection, equipment hire, transport, vendor services etc.
  • Manage event budgets, fundraising targets, and sponsorships to ensure that financial goals are met.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media team to develop event marketing plans to promote events to the community and generate interest and support.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers to support event planning and execution.
  • Ensure that all events run smoothly and efficiently and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.
  • Follow up with event attendees, sponsors, and volunteers to obtain feedback and identify areas for improvement.
