Who Are We?
Huxley's Bird of Prey Centre, Horsham, is home to over 80 stunning birds of prey (many of who are endangered in the wild), an adorable family of meerkats, a pair of prickly porcupines and some very talkative parrots. Run almost exclusively by volunteers, we were awarded Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice award 2025 - placing us in the top 10% of visitor attractions worldwide, according to our reviews on Tripadvisor.
The Role
We’re looking to expand our amazing team of volunteers here at Huxley’s!
If you are 16+, and have spare time 4x per year in the school holidays - usually the bank holiday weekends - we’d love to hear from you.
We run very popular Summer, Easter, Halloween and Christmas Family Fun Days at the centre. All funds raised go back into the centre, supporting our important education and conservation work.
The role would involve helping out in our family marquee, where we offer traditional fete games (splat a rat, hook a duck etc), temporary tattoos, candy floss etc.
In return, you get to work with a very friendly group of volunteers, see some incredible birds of prey and make a real difference to the work we do at the centre.
Good with working with children, adaptable and reliable.
