The Capitol Theatre is a multi-purpose arts venue featuring a 410-seat main theatre, two cinema screens, and a studio space.

The Capitol is a vital part of Horsham’s cultural life, offering a diverse program of events and activities.

The Role

Become part of The Capitol Theatre's friendly Front of House volunteer team and help create a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor.

You'll greet audiences, scan tickets, direct patrons to their seats, support the smooth running of performances, assist in the event of an evacuation, help keep the theatre clean and presentable, and report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager.

It's a rewarding opportunity to meet new people, support your local theatre, and play an important role in delivering memorable experiences for our audiences.

What skills do I need?

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Confidence using a mobile app to accept, manage and communicate about volunteer shifts.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including assisting with safe and efficient evacuations when required.
