Volunteer Treasurer & Charity Trustee

Who Are We?

We are a Sussex-based charity focused on supporting children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to develop their confidence through gaining practical skills. Our core activity is holding supported woodturning and creative workshops for children and young adults aged 11 – 22 years. Through these workshops, SEN SHED helps participants develop confidence, practical skills, social connections, and improved wellbeing in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

The Role:

We are seeking a person with good financial acumen and organisational skills to play a key role in maintaining strong financial management, and good governance of the charity.

Working closely with the Chair and fellow Trustees, the Treasurer will help ensure that the charity's finances are managed responsibly and that trustees have the financial information needed to make informed decisions.

Providing oversight, guidance, and assurance that appropriate financial controls and reporting arrangements are in place. Preparation of end of year accounts.
